EISNSTEIN QUOTE ON ENERGY

djstoa:

Someone just asked, “What is the Buddhist stance on homosexuality?” and the answer is simple: Buddhism has a loving precept about all sexuality; it does NOT separate or differentiate its stance on homosexuality than it does on heterosexuality.
This third precept, beautifully translated by Thich Nhat Hanh, applies to sexuality in general:
“Aware of the suffering caused by sexual misconduct, I vow to cultivate responsibility and learn ways to protect the safety and integrity of individuals, couples, families, and society.  I am determined not to engage in sexual relations without love and a long-term commitment. To preserve the happiness of myself and others, I am determined to respect my commitments and the commitments of others. I will do everything in my power to protect children from sexual abuse and to prevent couples and families from being broken by sexual misconduct.” When a sexual act is an expression of love, loyalty, honesty, warmth and respect, then it doesn’t break the third precept, whether the couple is of the same gender or not.

‘When the mind is full of memories and preoccupied by the future,

it misses the freshness of the present moment. In this way,

we fail to recognise the luminous simplicity of mind

that is always present behind the veils of thought.’

A man asked Lord Buddha “I want Happiness”.
Lord Buddha said “First remove ‘I’, that’s ego. Then remove ‘Want’, that’s desire. See, now you are left with only Happiness”.

As I grow older and travel more often, i’m exposed to a many great truths and experiences that often change my views of the cosmos around me and the microcosm within my “self”. My spiritual path is constantly one of meeting obstacles/breaking learned ideologies/evolving. This trinity is…
